Who We Are
Whitley Monograms began well before it was an embroidery business. When her first daughter was a baby, Caroline Jones, began creating custom burp cloths made with colorful ribbons. Realizing they would be much cuter with a beautiful monogram, she purchased her first machine in 2004.
Caroline, her husband, David, and their three daughters live in Chapel Hill, NC which will explain so much Carolina Blue scattered throughout her site. After working in a preschool for 10 years and doing custom embroidery in between family time and soccer games, Caroline decided to really give it a go in the Summer of 2023. She is now working full time at Whitley Monograms and running multiple machines and is loving every minute.
We love creating beautiful monograms and designs that come to life through your color choices. We take pride in our work and know that monogrammed items stand the test of time. You can never have too many and we believe they will never go out of style!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your turnaround time?
We like to turn your items around as quickly as possible and that is typically within two weeks, before shipping or local pickup. If you have a special occasion where you need something sooner, please do not hesitate to ask and we will do our best to make it happen! During holidays or other busy holidays, it may take up to 3 weeks, before shipping or local pickup.
What if I see something on your Instagram that is not offered on the website?
We often special order items for customers and can do the same for you so if you see something you would like for us to source, please ask! This goes for speciality threads and monograms, as well.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the custom nature of personalized items, all sales are final. Please be sure to double check the spelling and details of your order before checking out. If an item is damaged or incorrectly embroidered due to our mistake, we will happily replace it with a new one or offer a refund if a replacement is not possible.
Do you offer proofs to see the monogram before it is stitched?
We are more than happy to send you an electronic image of what the monogram will look like with your selections and we will do that via text, or email, if preferred. This may be an additional charge of $10. Since we are particular about how letters look when put together, if there is something we think looks off, we will reach out to you and offer another option, at no charge.
Do you offer Gift Wrapping?
We currently do not offer gift wrap but we do send most items in a cello bag with a ribbon. If you would like a special message included with your item, please indicate this in the “notes” section on the product page and we will be happy to include!
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes, we do so please indicate that during checkout. You will be able to select “local pickup” and I will let you know where to pickup at that time.
